Alice was beginning to get very tired of sitting by her sister on the bank, and of having nothing to do: once or twice she had peeped into the book her sister was reading, but it had no pictures or conversations in it, ´and what is the use of a book,´ thought Alice, ´without pictures or conversation?´

"Lewis Carroll was born Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (1832-1898) and grew up in Chesire in the village of Daresbury. Alice´s Adventures in Wonderland, inspired by Alice Liddell, the daughter of the Dean of Christ Church in Oxford, was published in 1865, followed by Through the Looking-Glass in 1871."

This edition is the 150th anniversary edition with stunning illustrations. The cover is so beautiful, but it gets even more beautiful if you remove the book cover! Golden shimmering accents and a lot of small and big illustrations of Alice and her friends of Wonderland. If you don´t own a Alice book yet - or even if you do - this edition is the most beautiful I´ve ever seen! 

My Thoughts

Probably everyone knows the story of Alice in Wonderland. But it´s incredible I didn´t own the book yet! So it was just a matter of time... And then this edition was published and I fell in love immediately. I was sure: this is the Alice book I want to buy. And I did. And did not regret it any second. 

„Oh, you can´t help that", said the Cat: "we´re all mad here. I´m mad. You´re mad." "How do you know I´m mad?" said Alice. "You must be", said the Cat, "or you wouldn´t have come here."

The complete book is full of inspiring and wonderfull illustrations, all full-colour, in a wonderful quality - the perfect gift for every Alice fan! Those illustrations show you Alice´s story in a different way, it´s like to discover the story for the very first time again. So beautiful!

The story is so full of imagination, fascination and magic. A wonderful book for children and adults as well - at least for those who had not lost their imagination yet!
