Es ist schon wieder Montag - wie doch die Zeit vergeht - und damit heißt es erneut: Zeit für den Music Monday! Heute geht es erneut um eine englische Band, jedoch stilistisch in eine völlig andere Richtung als letzte Woche. Denn heute geht es um The Verve!
Der Künstler
The Verve ist eine englische Band, die insbesondere in den 90er Jahren viel Bedeutung hatte. Ihre Musikrichtung ist breit gefächert. Am Bekanntesten ist ihr Song Bitter Sweet Symphony. 1999 trennte sich die Band erneut, seitdem macht der Sänger Richard Ashcroft sehr erfolgreich Solokarriere. 2007 kam es zur Reunion, ein neuen Album und kurz danach verschwand die Band wieder aus der Öffentlichkeit.
Die CD
Das Album Urban Hymns erschien 1997 und ist das kommerziell erfolgreichste Album der Band. Es besteht aus insgesamt 13 Titeln.

The band
The Verve is a british band, which has a big influence in the 90s. Their style is really versatile! Their song Bitter Sweet Symphony is pretty popular until tolday. 1999 the band splitted and the singer Richard Ashcroft began a solo career. 2007 The Verve reuninted, the puplished a new album and a short time later they again disappeared out of public.

The album Urban Hymns was published in 1997 and is the most popular and the most successful album by The Verve. It includes 13 tracks.
